Security awareness continues to be a hot topic at SecureWorld's regional cybersecurity conferences and web conferences, as InfoSec leaders want to improve and change their security awareness programs.

That's why we want to share these brand new security awareness posters and memes that were created in France by the Agence nationale de la sécurité des systèmes d'information. That name makes cybersecurity sound cool, doesn't it?

Anyway, the ANSSI (we didn't want to type the full French name again) just translated eight brand new security awareness posters being used in businesses and universities across France and created for European Cybersecurity Awareness Month. Here are the security awareness signs:

1. Security awareness poster topic: password & phone passcode security

2. Security awareness poster topic: social media safety

3. Security awareness poster topic: The Internet of Things (IoT)

7. Security awareness poster topic: phishing and attachments

8. Security awareness poster topic: phishing links

Two interesting things we noticed. First, instead of wearing hoodies, the hackers are dressed like pirates. Is that how they picture hackers across the pond?

And second, the topics are wide-ranging and attempt to make security personal for employees at work or at home. Here is what the agency says about this new cybersecurity awareness campaign:

For years, the subject was addressed exclusively among narrow circles of specialists. Our challenge is now to find the way to open it to as many as possible.

This method has proved to be effective: as more organizations are involved in the success of the campaign, the French government can count on a wider community to raise global awareness on cybersecurity.

The French are in favor of a more secure world? That's definitely something we can get behind.
