Like those healthcare studies on what is actually good for you, this story always seems to be changing.

Will Artificial Intelligence powered robots solve our problems and create jobs? Or is the coming robot invasion a sign that humans will be unemployed and outsourced by technology?

A new study by the World Economic Forum claims to have the answer. For one thing, robots are gaining in acceptance across industry verticals:

robot-revolution

AI and robots: jobs created vs. jobs lost

The study's focus is on the next five years:

  • By 2022, 75 million jobs will essentially be killed by robots
  • By 2022, 133 million new jobs will be created as a result of the AI and robot revolution

That's a net gain of nearly 60 million jobs. Read the job creation study and rationale for yourself if you'd like.

The study calls out an urgent need to re-skill workers based on these rapid changes. However, the end result is more opportunity.

Sorry robots... the humans will continue to rule the world!
