The security community in the Minneapolis region is coming together this week!

Year one was such a success, we are excited to present final details of the second annual SecureWorld Twin Cities cybersecurity conference on September 6th, happening in downtown Minneapolis.

When it comes to the future of cybersecurity and InfoSec, your peers will be meeting around an intriguing theme, “FAST FORWARD: Predicting and Preparing for Our Cyber Future.”

That’s the level set for the 2018 conference.

The agenda is being built by the local information security community and Advisory Council, and the future is front and center.

  • The opening keynote features former Intel Futurist and Chief Evangelist Steve Brown on “Going Digital: Building Your Strategic Roadmap for the Next Wave of Digital Transformation.”
  • CNN military analyst Col. Cedric Leighton will deliver the lunch keynote on where significant convergence is happening and will continue into the future, “The Nation-State, the Corporation, and You: Cybersecurity in the Cyber Age.”
  • Skip Hansen, VP of IT Operations at APi Group, will walk you through presenting the security strategy to the board for budget approval.
  • Mary Kavaney, Chief Operating Officer of the Global Cyber Alliance, will discuss how the non-profit organization is focused on developing and deploying practical solutions, made freely available, that measurably improve the region’s cybersecurity.

By coming together, we can secure the future and build stronger personal networks. Join your peers for this growing movement in Minnesota.

SecureWorld Twin Cities is a full-day cybersecurity conference at the downtown Minneapolis Hyatt Regency on September 6th. See details and register here.

Also, there are two in-depth training courses (we call them SecureWorld PLUS) that are extremely high value and allow you to earn additional CPE credits.

#1 How do you design, implement, and strengthen your information security program around the NIST Cybersecurity Framework? UMass CISO Larry Wilson will cover everything from an assessment that reveals security gaps, to the technical and business controls that can close those gaps, along with the roadmap that can help you get there.

#2 How does your organization build the future it wants and avoid the outcomes it does not want? The Bald Futurist Steve Brown leads “How to Build the Future: A Deep Dive into Artificial Intelligence, Blockchain, and Preparing Your Organization for 5-10 Years Ahead.” This course is for any leader at your organization that wants to understand how these areas will impact the entire business and use a “futurecast” model to prepare.

Let's work together on the future of cybersecurity. See you in Minneapolis on September 6th.
