US-CERT issued an advisory over the weekend, regarding KRACK Attacks, which can break the WPA2 used to secure Wi-Fi networks around the globe.

"US-CERT has become aware of several key management vulnerabilities in the 4-way handshake of the Wi-Fi Protected Access II (WPA2) security protocol," the alert said. "The impact of exploiting these vulnerabilities includes decryption, packet replay, TCP connection hijacking, HTTP content injection, and others."

The alert may be based on recently published Wi-Fi vulnerability research, which is detailed here. It covers the risk from KRACK Attacks, which stands for Key Reinstallation Attacks.

US-CERT has published its full vulnerability note on the Wi-Fi Protected Access vulnerability, which you can read here
