There's one thing everyone can agree on when it comes to the future of cars: they need good brakes.

But what about good cybersecurity?

According to Sir Ralf D. Speth, the CEO of Jaguar Land Rover, the digital security of these vehicles is just as important as their physical security and parts.

TechRadar covered his appearance at a conference in the UK:

"On the road of the future you won't have a safe vehicle unless you have a cyber secure vehicle," Speth said. "We need to build a world where the digital control of a physical object is reliable, safe and secure.

Cybersecurity is one of the biggest challenges today—the opportunity is there for cybersecurity to enhance the customer experience, protecting privacy and creating safer, more secure mobility."
