Department of Homeland Security Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen tends to say it like it is.

We noticed this at RSA 2018 when she issued a warning to America's cyber enemies.

And yesterday, she compared coming cyber attacks to a hurricane as she announced the launch of the National Risk Management Center.

"We are in a crisis mode. A cat 5 hurricane has been forecast, and we must prepare."

That preparation, she says, includes launching this center where government and the private sector can work together better than ever before.

Something executives have been asking for at our SecureWorld conferences.

This is part of her plan to crowd source cybersecurity, which is one of the five changes in cyber strategy underway at DHS.
