GE Aviation was part of an international news story this week when the U.S. government announced it had extradited an alleged Chinese spy after he attempted to acquire trade secrets from the company.

The aviation industry is often the target of industrial espionage, and securing the information that costs many millions in research to develop would require expertise—and be full of lessons worth learning from.
