It's the modern way to rob a bank.

And you can add this one to the growing list of SWIFT-related virtual bank heists.

In this case, attackers used the SWIFT interbank transfer system to steal millions of dollars.

This time, officials in Tawain say sixty-million dollars was transferred from Far Eastern National Bank to overseas accounts.

Two men are already in jail and it's believed they used malware on the bank's computers and created virtual transfers to move the money.

According to a report in the Tapei Times, the bank has been able to recover all but about $500,000 of the money and Tawain Premier William Lai asked his government to conduct a review of the nation's information security.
