“There has never been a better time to be a risk or security professional!”

IT and cybersecurity Futurist Thornton May is completely upbeat about the future. You can hear it when he speaks.

Why?

He’ll explain during his humorous and engaging opening keynote at SecureWorld Detroit, happening September 12-13 at the Ford Motor Event Center.

You will leave his session looking at InfoSec in a fresh way.

“Disruptive technologies fundamentally expand the 'Art of the Possible'; reshape the solution provider ecosystem (with a new hierarchy of winners and losers); and discombobulate expectations of how and by whom risk and security should be managed and led,” he says.

He believes we are like the movers and shakers of the Renaissance, that we stand on the shores of a new world—or Mundus Novus, as Americo Vespucci labeled it in 1502.

May is also leading a SecureWorld PLUS training course for CPE credit: Security’s New Know: Strategic Skills for the Digital Age.

“We will dive into strategy development and communication throughout the organization. This workshop is geared toward those who want to be considered a respected source of influence in the industry.” He says it is "part Harvard MBA-in-a-box, part Amish barn raising, and part therapy session."

Join your peers for Thornton May's sessions at the SecureWorld Detroit cybersecurity conference on September 12-13, 2018.

You can see the updated agenda and register for two powerful days of learning and networking that is focused on the future of cybersecurity and leadership.

We still have limited room for approved vendor partners to support the event. Reach out to Event Director Shauna DeLaMare directly if you have questions about the gathering. shaunad@secureworldexpo.com

Looking forward to hundreds of InfoSec leaders coming together again at the 16th annual SecureWorld Detroit!
