It started as a project for the visually impaired but it may someday be on your devices.

If you think about it, this approach to increasing individual cybersecurity makes sense.

The cues most of us use to stay safe on the web are visual. Pop-ups, red links, a broken lock icon. They warn us to stay away from a certain site or perhaps a risky email.

However, those who cannot see these things are more vulnerable.

Now researchers at Texas Tech University believe sounds they've developed to help the visually impaired could help alert all of us when we're about to do something that could put ourselves or the company we work for at risk.
