Like a good neighbor, State Farm is... breached?

The insurance giant just came forward about a data breach it experienced in July.

The attack? Credential stuffing on State Farm's online accounts.

Here's how they explained it:

State Farm recently detected an information security incident in which a bad actor used a list of user IDs and passwords obtained from some other source, like the dark web, to attempt access to State Farm online accounts.

The company hasn't disclosed exactly how many accounts were compromised in the attack, but it confirmed that "no sensitive personal information was viewable."

The firm also sent out a letter to affected customers with more details:

We're not sure how Jake from State Farm can help with this one.
