These days, it seems like everyone has a side hustle.

In fact, 44 million Americans have a 'gig' on the side. Which means many of the people at your office could be at risk (along with their computer) of falling victim to a phishing scam that is currently popping up across the country.

This time, the email seems to be from the Better Business Bureau and it says the recipient has either violated the "Fair Labor and Standards Act" or the "Health and Safety Act."

How do you learn more about your alleged violation? Click the link, of course.

The BBB says the link downloads malware onto each computer.

BBB Marketplace Manager Stephen Mayer told KATU News“It’s not every day that we’re the targets of scams like this. We are always trying to warn people of phishing scams and email scams, and warning people about the latest hacking attacks or cyber breaches. But unfortunately, we are the victims of this one.”

And your employees could be the next victim.

So, count this as an opportunity to make security personal and let those with (or without) a side hustle know that you are watching out for them.

Someone in your organization might even be relieved to know they are not under investigation by the Better Business Bureau.
