Bob Lord is Chief Security Officer for the Democratic National Committee. And he has just unveiled a brand new cybersecurity checklist, to defend against hacking as the DNC experienced during the 2016 presidential campaign.

"To that end, my team at the DNC created a simple checklist that covers devices (laptops, phones, tablets) and accounts (mail, social media). The checklist is exactly that: a list of steps you can complete and then check off. The goal is to print it out, and run through it line by line."

The new DNC cybersecurity checklist, which you can read here, covers topics such as:

      •  Password creation
      •  Password managers
      •  Two-factor authentication (2FA)
      •  Google's Advanced Protection Program
      •  Device updates
      •  Secure Web Browsing

It's more of a consumer level cybersecurity checklist than anything else, and does not mention or address the 20 Tricks Used by Russia to Hack the DNC.

However, it does mention phishing, which was one of the key vectors in Russia's attack on the Democrat data.

Speaking of phishing, don't miss our upcoming web conference, which draws on millions of data points to determine which employees and departments within organizations are most likely to be targeted by phishing:
